How to choose a make-up artist who knows the difference?
Finding the right make-up artist to suit your style can literally mean the difference between guests commenting on your beautiful foundation or your radiant skin ...I much prefer the latter.
Your make-up shouldn’t hide the real you, but instead emphasise your best bits! I have freckles, and to even try covering up these babies was going to take a mountain of makeup on my wedding day – and no thanks, I wanted to look like me, not some showgirl!
I asked make-up artist Trish Falzon, (16 years in the make-up business with a stack of qualifications in both cinemagraphic make-up and beauty therapy), what her goals are for bridal make-up.
“My style is to create a very natural finish. I work with each bride’s best features – whether it is their eyes, skin, colouring, face shape or style – and I aim to emphasize their qualities. My brides are not going to walk out feeling like the have inches of make-up on”.
With a background in beauty therapy, Trish is a big believer in skin, and her product of choice is the mineral make-up brand Young Blood Mineral Cosmetics.
Naturally I was curious as to what made Young Blood so good?
“It has taken me a long time to source the right product”, says Trish, “and the key benefit for brides is that it is good for your skin. But it is also water resistant, photographic, lightweight and suitable for most skin types”.
