Congratulations to Fiona & Ben who married at Hidden Grove, followed by a reception at Berardos Bistro on the Beach.

I met Fiona & Ben a few days prior to their wedding day as they are based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire in the UK. They first contacted Events by Design back in March and told me of their gorgeous new arrival to the family, little Evie, and their intention to marry back in Fiona’s homeland Australia, and so their day began to unfold.

With 36 guests in total, and a request for beachfront views, I immediately thought of Berardos Bistro, a gorgeous little venue that can seat up to 50, and offers smaller wedding parties the luxury of having their own exclusive restaurant for the night. We matched this intimate venue with their ceremony at Hidden Grove, a cute little beachfront site surrounded by trees and overlooking Noosa’s beachfront.

I must say, I was a tad nervous the day prior to their wedding when THE dust storm hit Noosa and the sky filled with an orange haze...not the best conditions for white wedding dresses...but we were very lucky.  The morning of the wedding we awoke to blue skies and it was the perfect day for this gorgeous couple to get married.

There is so much to tell about this couple, but one of the things that I noticed the most was just how happy and fun they both were. They both have a great sense-of-humour, and both families were just so talkative and friendly. This vivacious energy is already rubbing off on little Evie, who stole the show during speeches at the reception, showing off her new talent to blow bubbles on the back of her hand (too cute for words!).

The couple chose lilac as their base colour for the day, which Mondo Floral Designs complimented with roses in shades of lavender, pink, ivory and lemon. We particularly loved the hanging florals and crystals which hung from the trees in Hidden Grove – such a delicate and romantic touch!

The wine and champagne flowed at Berardos Bistro, and we hear that the guests were so impressed by the food and service, that they all met back there for breakfast!

We are delighted that Fiona & Ben chose Events by Design as their planners/stylists, and thank all the suppliers involved in making their day so special. We wish them many happy adventures over the coming years.
