A little quaint church with history and style.

Events by Design recently had the pleasure of attending the official opening of the Little White Wedding Church in Maleny. It was a gorgeous night of champagne, nibbles, jazz and of course a chance for us all to admire the transformation of this original Baptist church built in 1952.

For all those brides considering getting married in Maleny or Montville, this is a must-see ceremony venue. If you’re looking for a little quaint church with history and style...the Little White Wedding Church is just the place for you! 

Originally located in Redcliffe, the church ceased operating in 1997 and in 1999 the building was purchased and moved to Maleny. After some building repairs were completed the church began operating as “Steep Hill Studio”, an art gallery and screen printing business where local Maleny artist Owen Hutchinson spent his time creating his unique block prints and teaching his craft to interested art students.

Owen and his wife Jan decided to sell the property which included the church building and in April 2009 new owners took possession. Recognising the need for a non-denominational traditional church venue in the popular wedding destination location of Maleny, the managers of Little White Wedding Church set forth on their mission to fully renovate the church and promote the venue for wedding ceremonies.

Set amongst a charming rural property, the church now oozes style and sophistication. An elegant interior that features vintage décor, including crystal chandeliers, tiffany chairs and showcasing a colour palette of white, ivory and latte, the enchanting church offers couples a glamorous indoor ceremony option for their wedding day.

Seating 110 guests, Little White Wedding Church can cater for intimate or lavish style ceremonies. A non-denominational church, you are welcome to bring your own religious minister or civil celebrant to conduct your wedding ceremony. Surrounded by grazing land and featuring English style manicured gardens, landscaped walk ways, and a gorgeous white picket fence, the church sits gracefully on a beautiful property allowing you the opportunity to capture stunning photos to remember your day.
