Il n’y a qu’un bonheur dans la vie, c’est d’aimer et d’être aimé.

Congratulations to Juliet & Matthew, who married at St Andrews Anglican Church, and followed with a stunning reception at Bistro C.

This couple were the epitome of style and grace. From the moment I met Juliet, I was very excited by her wedding design. Inspired by their engagement in Paris, she wanted to interweave this delicately through her design. She was fantastic from moment go, knowing exactly what she liked, and her confidence in her own style shone through on the day. She looked beautiful in a vintage inspired ivory gown with capped lace sleeves and a soft tulle veil.

Matthew too looked very dashing in a dark grey suit with a silver and black striped tie, finished with a simple vintage rose buttonhole.  He was relaxed and all smiles as the 77 guests arrived at St Andrews. Certainly this was one of the things I remember so vividly about their day...both the Bride & Groom were so relaxed. What a beautiful couple they were.

Every element of this day was carefully chosen to enhance the feeling of vintage Parisian glamour. We chose a colour palette of Ivory, Chocolate, Latte & Olive with just a hint of soft pink and lavender.

Mondo Floral Designs created the floral arrangements featuring vintage roses, magnolia leaf and dodder vine, with the bouquets finished in an Olive satin ribbon. The ceremony included hanging roses at the entrance to St Andrews and miniature ivory rose pew posies. At the reception, Mondo added crystal cut vases to set off the vintage appeal which added a unique dimension to this wedding design.

We added to this design French vintage candelabra & lanterns, to which Bistro C added an eclectic mix of tea lights. Cake Designs created a 3 tier wedding cake, with Ivory vintage scrolling detail, which we sat on a French grey cake tray, and then finished with a topper of vintage roses and dodder vine. It was just perfect!

One of the special highlights for me was that Juliet & Matthew chose the same day as their grandparents to get married, and it was so gorgeous to see Nanna & Pa sitting in the front row with all smiles...love lasts forever, and these two were just so cute! Back at the reception we featured photos of both the parents and grandparents on their wedding day at the entry...you won’t believe how similar both Juliet and Matthew looked to their own mum and dad.

Tables were named after places of significance in Paris, each with its own little story. Le Jardin des Tuileries being where Matt popped the question.

A simple addition of napkins tied with an Olive & Ivory striped ribbon finished the stylish Parisian look.

And I couldn’t help myself, but I just had to add the little French birdy...a little decorative touch that sat in the canapé area looking happily out over Noosa’s Laguna Beach.

Thanks so much to our suppliers: Bistro C, Calli B Photography, St Andrews Anglican Church, Mondo Floral Designs, Rolling Scissors, TF Makeup, Cake Designs, Instinct Music and Tic Tac Tours.

And congratulations to Juliet & Matthew – we wish you all the best on life’s journey.

Here's the Season to be Jolly!
